Joy‑Con Comfort Grips for Nintendo Switch — Blue & Red (2‑Pack)
Product description
What’s included: a pair of molded Joy‑Con grips (one blue, one red) sold as a two‑pack. Each grip is sized to accept a single Joy‑Con controller and convert it into a more conventional handheld.
Materials and build: made from lightweight, rigid plastic with textured rubberized contact pads where the Joy‑Con seats. The outer shell provides a solid feel while the inner pads help keep the controller from shifting.
Design and fit: the outer handles are sculpted to follow the curve of the palm, reducing tension during longer sessions. Cutouts give full access to all face buttons, analog stick, and the capture/home functions.
Trigger action: built‑in L and R actuators align with the Joy‑Con shoulder buttons so you can use triggers naturally without blocking your grip.
Usage note: simple press‑and‑click insertion — slide the Joy‑Con into the cavity until it seats. Controllers themselves are not included with the grips.
Pros
- Ergonomic curved handles reduce hand fatigue
- Lightweight but feels solid and secure
- Integrated triggers press the Joy‑Con shoulder buttons
Cons
- Rubber pads could hold tighter in intense play
- Doesn’t match the size of a full pro controller
- Not a substitute for a full‑feature controller
VerdictThese grips turn the small Joy‑Con pieces into much more comfortable controllers for extended play. The molded palm shape eases fatigue, the soft rubber contact keeps each Joy‑Con snug, and the integrated top actuators reliably hit L and R. Ideal for multiplayer sessions or younger players who need a larger, easier‑to‑hold option. They’re not a replacement for a full pro controller when you want t

Makes Joy‑Cons comfortable
These grips improve comfort and the triggers work fine, provided you’re not hammering them rapidly. Recommended.

A must for relaxed family gaming
Exactly what you need to make playing with kids more comfortable. They do the job well and feel sturdy. Unlike the official adapters that require extra controllers, these let you use single Joy‑Cons and still have a pleasant grip for larger hands.

Solves the flimsy Joy‑Con problem
Detached Joy‑Cons are small and awkward, but these adapters click in securely and feel stable. The top actuators reliably hit the shoulder inputs that are tiny on the Joy‑Cons alone. My kid has small hands and used to hold the controllers upside down; these make proper handling much easier. Arrived quickly even during the holiday season.

Good value for added comfort
Affordable way to give your Joy‑Cons more grip. Great when friends come over for multiplayer or for kids with smaller hands. Perfect stepping stone from tiny controllers to a full pad — great for ages roughly 3–9, while older kids may prefer a larger controller.

Exactly what I wanted
They hold the Joy‑Cons firmly and seem durable. More comfortable than the bare controllers and the top buttons respond well. My only wish is the grip position could shorten the reach to the sticks; my thumb can stretch after long play. That’s likely a Joy‑Con limitation, though—if someone redesigns that spacing I’d buy again.

Essential for Smash and shoulder‑button heavy games
I bought these for Smash Ultimate because the bare Joy‑Cons are cramped when you need the shoulder buttons. The grips feel natural and a touch smaller than standard pads, which makes sense. Buttons and sticks are easy to reach and press. My sole gripe: the rubber inside could grip the Joy‑Con a bit more; during intense play a thumb jab can let one wiggle. Still, they made Smash playable and I now use them regularly rather than as a temporary fix.

Feels like they should be included with the console
These feel pleasantly organic in the hands and make the tiny Joy‑Cons usable for anyone over about 12. I expected cheap plastic but they’re well made. They’re easy to snap on and off. They’ll probably survive a drop or two, but don’t treat them like vintage indestructible controllers.

Much better than wheel grips for MK8
Essential for multiplayer sessions. These are more comfortable than other Joy‑Con holders I tried and stop hand cramps in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The L/R triggers actually engage fully, so you won’t miss drifts or items like with cheaper adapters. They should make Joy‑Cons feel great for retro games too.
