Not very durable
I’m older and had new composite back steps. The tape was applied to fresh boards but began lifting on the bottom step within a week. Other strips are still holding, but I expect further peeling in cold weather. I wouldn’t trust it as a dependable option for seniors.

Coarse texture with solid stick
I used this on my basement stairs to cut down on slips. I was surprised by how much tape is included — the rolls are longer than I expected. The grit is quite coarse and not pleasant barefoot, but excellent for shoes. The material feels thick and durable, and the yellow-and-black stripe helps mark each step. Adhesive held well in my test when applied to a clean surface. Happy with the purchase and would recommend.
