Kids 5-Compartment Bento Lunch Kit with 8oz Thermos and Insulated Tote
Product description
Complete lunch set with flexible packing options. The kit contains a 1.6L bento-style food container with five compartments and two removable dividers so you can switch between three or five sections. Included is an 8oz insulated food thermos suited for soups, stews, or hot sides, plus a freezer-compatible ice pack, a child-sized utensil set, and an insulated carry bag.
Thermos and insulation details. The flask is made from 304 stainless steel with double-wall vacuum insulation designed to maintain hot contents for several hours. The soft-sided lunch tote features an inner waterproof foil lining that helps extend temperature retention for both hot and cold items. For better results with hot foods, warm the thermos briefly with hot water before filling.
Materials and spill protection. The food box is constructed from food-grade PP-5 plastic and uses a silicone-sealed hinge lid to reduce leaks and spills during transport. All components are BPA-free and designed with kid safety in mind. The thermos lid uses a simple release mechanism that children can operate when shown how, promoting independence.
User-friendly design. The bento lid opens smoothly and the set includes a handy carrying handle on the insulated bag for easy transport. The compact footprint fits backpacks and lunch cubbies; the outer cooler sleeve has a small mesh pocket that can hold the utensil or a treat. Components are easy to wipe down and are top-rack dishwasher safe for convenient cleaning.
Where it works best. This kit is intended for school-aged children (recommended 3+ years) and is suitable for preschool, daycare, picnics, and family travel. The deep box offers more capacity than a shallow lunch tray, helping pack fuller, varied meals while keeping different foods separate and appealing.
Pros
- Complete kit with thermos, bag, utensils, and ice pack
- Flexible 3- or 5-compartment bento layout
- Durable, BPA-free materials and easy-to-open designs
Cons
- Some users report thermos lid failures
- Not fully leakproof with very watery liquids
- Spork may not store inside the main box
VerdictThis all-in-one lunch kit supplies everything a child needs for varied meals on the go. The stainless-steel 8oz thermos holds heat well, the 5-compartment 1.6L box gives flexible packing options, and the insulated tote adds an extra layer of temperature control. Build quality and kid-focused openings make it easy for young users, though a few users report occasional issues with the thermos lid. Ov

Stands up to daily use for years
Durability and quality 10/10. I've used this for two years with my son and it still looks like new. Lightweight, easy to clean, and the compartments are just right.

Deeper than expected — kid-friendly
Love it. The box is deeper than pictured and my 6-year-old opens the box and thermos easily.

Good space and insulation
Plenty of room, keeps food chilled, and compact enough to fit in a backpack.

Check the thermos lid for loose parts
Nice concept and the box has held up, but the thermos stopped closing after a couple days. I found a small metal piece loose in the lid — it stayed inside the cover but could have been dangerous. Inspect the flask carefully before use.

Teen tester: promising but with a plastic smell
I tried this as a teen wanting bolder lunches. The thermo had a faint factory odor at first but washed out. The box is deeper than I expected—good for bigger portions—and the dividers keep fruits and veggies apart. The thermos pops open when you pull the tab and seems easy to use. Hoping it makes school lunches tastier. Overall a solid buy.

Thermos failed to retain heat
The flask didn't keep soup hot: put it in at 9:00 and it was cold by 11:30.

Cute design but thermos had issues
The bento is adorable and the compartments work well for picky eaters. Sadly, the 8oz thermos lid broke after about eight months and no longer sealed, so I had to stop using it. Disappointing given the rest of the set is fine.

Mostly leak-resistant, with a few caveats
After six months I like that sauces stay in place and the thermos seals well once broken in. The outer cooler helps temperature control and the mesh pocket is handy. Water can migrate between sections, though, and the included spork only fits in the outer pocket. Also, decorative stickers on the lid fell apart.
