MK8 Hardened Steel 0.6mm 3D Printer Nozzles + 0.5mm Cleaning Needles (6pc)
Product description
Package contents: three 0.6mm hardened steel MK8-style extruder nozzles and three 0.5mm stainless steel cleaning needles supplied in a small bottle.
Compatibility: these MK8-format nozzles use an external M6 thread and are compatible with many popular printers that use MK8-style hotends, including Ender 3/3 Pro/3 V2, Ender 5/5 Pro, CR-10/10S, MakerBot MK8, RepRap Prusa i3 variants, Tevo Tarantula, Anet A8 and other machines with the same mounting standard.
Cleaning needles: the three included needles are fabricated from stainless steel for corrosion resistance and flexibility. They are suitable for clearing blockages in 0.5mm-and-larger orifices and can also be used to clean small feed parts such as throats and drive gears. Keep in mind needles bend before they break, but should be used carefully.
Nozzle construction and specs: the extruder tips are made of hardened steel for improved wear and heat tolerance compared with standard brass nozzles. Each nozzle is sized for a 0.6mm output with a 1.75mm filament input and threads to the hotend with an M6 external thread. Hardened steel offers long service life when printing abrasive filaments and is rated for use at elevated temperatures up to approximately 450°C.
Performance notes: the hardened steel body helps maintain a stable temperature under load so filament flow is consistent at higher speeds. A smooth internal bore reduces clogging and leakage risk and is straightforward to clean. Because hardened steel conducts heat less readily than brass, expect slightly slower heat-up and be prepared to re-level or re-zero your Z offset after installation.
Safety and care: do not attempt to push the needles through a cold nozzle — warm the nozzle to at least 200°C before probing to avoid damage. After replacing nozzles, recalibrate the distance between the nozzle and build plate to ensure proper first-layer adhesion and print quality.
Pros
- Durable hardened steel resists wear from abrasive filaments
- Includes 0.5mm stainless cleaning needles for maintenance
- Fits common MK8-style hotends with M6 external thread
Cons
- Lower thermal conductivity than brass — slower heat-up
- May require Z-offset and bed relevel after swap
- Fit and finish can vary between batches
VerdictA practical upgrade for makers who need a durable nozzle for abrasive or high-temp filaments. The hardened steel tips resist wear and handle higher temperatures than brass, and the included stainless needles make routine nozzle maintenance simpler. Expect to re-tune Z-offset after swapping and accept slower thermal response versus brass.

Exactly what I expected
They perform fine and match the product description.

Holds up to higher temps
Needed a larger tip for wood-filled filament. The first nozzle I installed is still going strong under increased temperatures.

Doing the job well
Works reliably so far. I wanted a wider bore than my 0.4mm and it prints PLA, PETG and HS PLA without issues. No complaints.

Material quality is questionable
Not thrilled. The claimed hardened steel seems off — longevity isn't convincing and they feel like low-quality copies.

Cuts print time, decent quality
Swapped my 0.4mm brass for a 0.6mm hardened tip. Print times dropped noticeably and quality stayed very good.

Solid on Ender 3 V2 Neo
Used a week with no problems after resetting Z-offset and ABL-D. Mostly printing PETG; did wide vase prints at reduced speed and higher temp and it handled them well.

Good for faster prints
Bought to speed up large prints like helmets. They do exactly that—no surprises, just reliable performance.

Simple swap, prints nicely
Replaced the stock brass nozzles easily and printing was good right away. Only drawback: the nozzle lacks a full hex profile, just two flat sides. Also remember to level the bed; dimensions differ slightly from the original.
