100-Pack Large Blank Plastic Livestock Ear Tags — White
Product description
Complete set: This kit contains 100 blank animal ear tags, supplying enough units for medium to large herds or for keeping spares on hand.
Generous size: Each tag measures 2.83 x 2.36 inches (72 x 60 mm), offering a broad white surface to record numbers, birthdates, lineage, health notes, or other herd data clearly and legibly.
Built from plastic for durability: The tags are molded from flexible plastic designed to stand up to outdoor exposure. The white face resists fading and maintains visibility so identification stays readable over time.
Weather-ready and resilient: Constructed to endure rain, sun and routine farm conditions, these ear tags are intended for long-term use on livestock kept outdoors.
Easy to apply and multi-species use: These blank tags are compatible with most standard ear tag applicators and are suitable for cattle, cows, horses, pigs, goats, sheep and other large animals. Use permanent livestock markers for the best long-term clarity when recording information.
Pros
- Bulk pack of 100 for large herds
- Large writable surface (72 x 60 mm)
- Weather-resistant, durable plastic
Cons
- Some markers may fade on the smooth surface
- Fastener plug may require firm seating
- Ink adhesion varies by pen type
VerdictA practical bulk option for farms that need a lot of legible tags. The large white faces and durable plastic resist harsh conditions and fit most applicators, making them useful for routine herd identification. Note some users report ink adhesion problems with certain pens and a short learning curve when seating the fastening plugs.

Markings disappear too soon
Tags are rigid and very smooth. I can't find a pen that stays put for more than a few days, so not good for numeric ID.

Costly rework due to fading
We had to catch and re-tag every cow after the numbers faded. I rewrote them but they still disappeared. Extremely frustrating and a big time sink.

Fasteners and ink unreliable
These didn’t perform well for me. The button fasteners didn’t seat consistently and the writing wouldn’t hold.

Ink wore off quickly
Tried my usual tag marker and let it dry a week before applying. Many numbers rubbed away within two weeks after tagging calves. Also had to press the plug down hard on the applicator pin. I won't buy these again.

Worked well for goat IDs
I put these on collars for newborn goats and they held up. I used a Sharpie; it was fine but a livestock marker would likely last longer.

Exactly what I needed
Good tags and they do the job.

Solid and weatherproof
Tags feel tough and resist weather. The attachment style was different from what we use, but we adapted quickly. Will reorder when needed.
