Digital Magnetic Stirrer Hot Plate — 300°C, 5 L Capacity, 140 mm
Product description
This digital magnetic stirrer hot plate is designed for everyday laboratory and educational use. The unit accepts up to 5 L of liquid, making it suitable for larger batches than many compact stir plates. Included accessories are a liquid temperature probe, adjustable support stand and arm, assorted magnetic stir bars, and a recycler set for solvent circulation work.
The hot surface is a 140 mm (5.5 in) ceramic-coated aluminum plate that promotes even heat distribution and is straightforward to clean. Heating reaches up to 300°C (572°F) with tight regulation; the system offers dual temperature sensing so you can monitor both the plate temperature and the actual liquid temperature via the supplied probe. Accuracy is high enough for repeatable laboratory procedures.
Stirring is motor-driven with an adjustable range from 200 to 1500 RPM and supports vortex formation when a stir bar is used. The control panel includes separate controls for speed and temperature, a programmable timer that runs from 1 minute to 99 hours, and clear digital readouts for immediate status checks. Functions such as stir pause and reverse help tailor mixing to different media.
Construction emphasizes durability and safety: corrosion-resistant housing, a 304 stainless steel support stand and clamping hardware, over-temperature protection, and a sturdy base with anti-slip feet. The probe holder threads into the support arm so the sensor remains steady during long runs, and the unit’s form factor fits on most benchtops without consuming excessive space.
Pros
- High-temperature capability with dual sensing
- Large 5 L capacity and 140 mm heating surface
- Includes probe, stand, stir bars and recycler set
Cons
- Requires careful probe placement for best accuracy
- Can be sensitive to disturbance during runs
- Slight operational noise at higher speeds
VerdictA capable, lab-grade magnetic stirrer hot plate that combines precise heating and reliable stirring in a compact package. The unit handles up to 5 liters, offers a wide speed range and a long programmable timer, and includes an external probe for direct liquid temperature feedback. Build materials and safety features make it suitable for routine educational, hobbyist, and small-scale formulation w

The Experience 5/5
Excellent Hot Plate for Accurate Production
Quick to assemble and consistently heats and stirs with good accuracy. I use it for making foundation batches and it keeps each run reproducible. The kit arrives with the plate, probe hookup and support arm; place your beaker, attach the probe arm, add the magnetic bar and set the speed, timer and temperature. It accepts a 5 L beaker and the adjustable arm is handy.

Feels More Scientific Than My Countertop Gear
The 5 L capacity and 5.5-inch plate provide a lot of usable surface. Adjustable stirring up to 1500 RPM gives control for different viscosities. Comes with a temperature probe and stir bar, and the controls are easy to understand. Heats and stirs consistently and feels solid — not a toy.

Solid Features and Useful Readouts
Has handy functions like stir pause and reverse, and the display shows RPM while running. The probe lets you watch the liquid temperature change over time so you get an accurate reading at each point in a process.

Reliable Equipment I Keep Using
I own several of these units and they perform as expected. Temperature and stir speed are straightforward to set, the probe holder is easy to fit, and the construction feels solid. Probe readings match observed stable temps closely.

A Big Upgrade Over My Old Stirrer
Notably better than simpler models — separate knobs for speed and temp make adjustments intuitive. You can reverse the stir direction and different sized stir bars are provided. The liquid probe gives real-time temperature for the sample, and the probe stand locks solidly once tightened. Bright display and a noticeably more professional feel.

Well-Built Unit with Tactile Controls
Temperature control is precise and the stirring range is broad. Rubber feet keep it steady and the knobs have a satisfying tactile feel. The support rods thread together cleanly with no sharp edges. My only minor preference would be a different control layout rather than multiple switches.

Practical Shopper 5/5
Precise, Robust, and Flexible for Lab Work
Arrived well-packed with the probe and stand. Better than a plain hot plate when you need controlled temps and continuous mixing. The ceramic-coated aluminum surface wipes clean easily, the heating range suits most tasks, and you get both plate and liquid temperature monitoring.

Customer Service Saved the Mission; Unit Performs
An initial delivery hiccup was resolved quickly by support. Once running, the heater ramps up fast and the stir action is steady. It’s a bit noisy but not disruptive. Controls are accurate and the unit now works exactly as expected.

Works, But Needs Gentle Handling
Performs well if left undisturbed. Temperature control can be jumpy if you move the beaker or remove the probe mid-run, so add reagents slowly and avoid handling during long heats. It holds temperature reliably when left alone, and increasing batch mass helps stability.

Impressive Unit for Both Hobbyists and Labs
Heftier than many entry-level plates. Temperature control, stirring range, and the included probe extend its usefulness across hobby and small lab tasks. The 5 L capacity covers larger batches and the external probe gives more reliable liquid readings than plate-only sensing. Controls are logical and the build inspires confidence.
