Ventilated Beekeeping Jacket with Detachable Veil and Carry Bag — XXL
Product description
Removable fencing veil: The jacket includes a detachable three-layer ultra-ventilated veil constructed from sturdy mesh combined with cotton trim. The veil gives broad visibility while maintaining a sealed barrier between you and the bees.
Protective features and closures: Heavy-duty zippers with covered seams and hook-and-loop closures help keep openings closed and reduce the chance of gaps. Handy thumb straps secure sleeves in place and the design includes multiple pockets—some reinforced—for tools and small items.
Materials and comfort: Built to be lightweight and breathable, the jacket aims to solve the heaviness of traditional canvas suits while still offering full upper-body protection. The ventilation is intended to keep you cooler in warm weather and provide a layer of warmth when it’s cooler out.
Use and fit: This unisex jacket is suitable for hobbyists and professional beekeepers. It’s intended to be worn over clothing; many users choose a size up to allow layers underneath. The hood attaches and can be tucked or stored when not in use.
Portability: A zippered carrying bag is included for storage and transport, making it easier to keep the jacket protected between jobs and to carry gear to different apiary locations.

Sturdy suit with plenty of closures
Heavy-duty overall and zippers operate smoothly. Lots of Velcro to secure openings (almost too much). Well made and I highly recommend it for consistent protection.

Protects as promised
Does exactly what it should—keeps bees out. Covers well and the zipper tracks are all shielded so there aren’t small gaps for stings. Good protection at a reasonable cost.

Sizing inconsistency between jackets
We like this jacket and the Large fits well for one of us with good airflow. However, a second Large felt tighter and more like a medium. Zippers operate easily, but be aware fit may vary between items.

Excellent ventilation and hood design
I won’t go back to other jackets. This one breathes much better while still feeling substantial. The hood is well-made and protects the face area; zipper practice is needed to be sure everything is fully closed, but you get used to it.

Zipper upgrades are noticeable
Updated review after buying a replacement: the zippers seem improved and more robust than my first jacket. The fit is good, it’s cool and mobile. My only minor gripe is the extra Velcro flap over the front zipper, which I find unnecessary. Overall a positive update and I’d buy again.

Handles aggressive bees and Texas heat
Our bees can be very defensive; canvas suits were too hot and offered little protection. This jacket cut down on stings and was far more comfortable in warm weather. I sized up to allow clothing underneath and the fit worked well. Zippers have held up and the breathable design is a big plus.

Jacket is solid, bag and gloves expectations disappointed
Very happy with the jacket itself—durable and comfortable. My complaint is the carrying bag zipper failed within a couple weeks and photos implied gloves might be included, which were not. Those issues cost a star; the jacket performs well.

Zippers broke on second purchase
This was my second jacket. The zippers on both have been difficult to operate—sticking and finally breaking. I loved everything else, especially the small chest pocket for reading glasses, but the front zipper failing made it unusable for me. Wish the zippers were higher quality.

Won my 3-jacket comparison (updated 3/24)
I bought three different jackets to compare for professional work—no freebies involved. One jacket had a foam-like fabric that felt short-lived and was set aside. This jacket outperformed a far more expensive option in real use. We liked its better-reinforced pockets and more thoughtfully placed hook-and-loop closures that make it easier to get on and off without exposing openings.
