Stainless Steel Bee Hive Smoker Kit with Heat Shield and 54 Pellets
Product description
Essential beekeeping tool: This hive smoker produces a mild, cool smoke that helps calm bees, making it easier and safer to inspect frames and manage the colony.
Stainless construction: Crafted from corrosion-resistant stainless steel for long service life. The body resists rust, abrasion, and ordinary wear encountered in apiary use.
Included accessories: The kit includes a metal smoker with a protective heat shield that surrounds the smoke chamber to help prevent burns, plus storage hooks for hanging the unit when it’s not in use.
Fuel and flame control: You get 54 fuel pellets made from natural plants and herbs; they generate a light smoke that won’t harm the bees. The sheepskin bellows is attached to the fuel chamber to draw air through a small intake at the base, keeping the fuel smoldering and directing smoke into the hive as needed.
How it’s used: Light a pellet or a small bundle of fuel in the canister, gently operate the bellows to push cool smoke into the hive, and monitor the bellows and hinge for wear. The design balances ease of use with standard apiary function for routine inspections.
Pros
- Stainless steel body resists rust and wear
- Protective heat shield and hanging hooks included
- Comes with 54 natural fuel pellets
Cons
- Hinge and lid feel basic and may loosen
- Bellows material is thin and could wear over time
- Canister walls are lightweight compared with higher-end models
VerdictA practical, budget-friendly hive smoker that delivers the basics: durable stainless-steel construction, a heat guard to protect hands, storage hooks, and a set of 54 plant-based pellets. The sheepskin bellows supplies steady air for inspections. Expect entry-level fit and finish; it performs well but watch the bellows and lid hinge for wear over time.

Does what it should
Performs reliably and calms the bees as expected.

Lid can be stubborn
After a while the lid gets hard to open and I’ve had to pry it with tools. I worry about stressing the bellows when forcing the top. When it’s open it produces decent smoke if the fuel is lit properly.

Excellent
Excellent product.

Disappointed by durability
Used it for a few months and the lid hinge kept opening, failing to secure the top. A circular cover inside fell off and now there’s a gap—making the unit unusable. Smoke quality was good, but build quality let it down.

Helped protect my feeders
Did a good job dispersing bees around my hummingbird feeders when I needed to clear them briefly.

Functional but basic
Works as advertised. The top is a bit loosely fitted, which some users might like and others won’t.

Good starter smoker with typical limits
Replaced older units and picked this up as an entry-level option. It arrived well packed and quickly. The hinge has some play and isn’t very robust, and the canister feels thinner than premium models. The bellows also seems lightweight, so I’m watching it for cracks or splits. Despite those concerns, it produces usable smoke and handles routine hive work fine.
