NordicTrack 55 lb Select-A-Weight Adjustable Dumbbell Pair
Product description
Designed to condense a wide range of resistance into a compact footprint, this Select-A-Weight duo lets you swap loads quickly for circuit and strength work.
Each adjustable dumbbell adjusts from 10 to 55 pounds, offering 15 selectable weight combinations per unit so the pair effectively replaces dozens of individual dumbbells. The handle itself contributes 10 pounds and can be used solo for lighter work. Change resistance in 2.5, 5, and 10 pound increments to match exercises from biceps curls to goblet squats.
The set ships with two adjustable dumbbells and two molded storage trays that hold each unit securely and show clear weight markings for fast selection. Construction blends steel components with hardened plastic housings for the selector mechanism and trays; certain plates and the knurled handle are metal where noted. Designed for full-body routines, these dumbbells are intended for direct lifting out of the cradle and performing presses, rows, lunges, and other strength moves in a home environment.

Reliable long-term performance
I’ve had these for over a year with no real complaints. They adjust easily and remain well balanced even at heavier settings. I prefer a slightly wider grip when I add small micro plates, but that’s a personal preference. Quiet, compact, and highly recommended.

Perfect add-on for a home gym
Sturdy and functional, these let you get a complete workout at home without clutter. The weight range covers maintenance and progressive training for many users, and the set is well built for everyday use.

Daily use holds up and feels close to a fixed dumbbell
I use these nearly every day and prefer them over open-frame adjustable styles. The plates stay together as one unit when lifted, so they handle like a solid dumbbell rather than a hollow frame. The selector is simple, markings are clear, and I haven’t seen damage from regular use. For some movements the handle position can be a minor limitation, but overall they’re smooth and dependable.

I really like these — they perform well and shipped quickly once available.

Budget-friendly option if you handle them with care
Good value and they’ve lasted nearly a year. There’s some play and heavy plastic in places, so avoid dropping them and they should serve you well.

Well-made and space-efficient
Solid construction and a comfortable grip. Adjusting weights is quick, and the units shorten considerably at lighter settings, which feels more natural than some fixed-length adjustable designs.

Solid, compact, and user-friendly adjustable dumbbells
This set has worked well for my partner and me. The 10–55 lb range and selectable increments suit most moves; we keep some small fixed dumbbells to cover the very light end. What I like most is their compact footprint at low weights — they lengthen only as more plates engage, so a 10 lb setting is much shorter than a 50 lb setting. That makes exercises less awkward compared with fixed-long bars, and at higher weights they feel the size of a regular dumbbell.

Worth the investment if you value convenience
They were a significant purchase but well worth it for the convenience and space savings. Practical, compact, and a solid investment in personal fitness if your budget allows.

Good balance of quality and space savings
Ideal for apartments or small workout areas and provides enough weight for progressive training. The locking and selector movement take a little practice, but the grip is comfortable and the set saves plenty of space.

Took a few tries, but final pair arrived intact
This was my third purchase attempt but the package protection was excellent on the final delivery. One early set arrived damaged and another was lost in transit; customer support was responsive and helped resolve it. When working smoothly the selectors needed a couple passes to loosen, but then they operated reliably and changing weights was straightforward.

Noticeably more premium than the older, all-plastic version
I compared this orange model to an older blue variant and the differences stood out. The newer unit uses more metal, including a knurled metal handle and metal 10 lb plates, which gives a firmer, more premium feel. The two smallest plates still use plastic, but the overall build feels tougher and more compact than the plastic-heavy version.

Good initial impression and careful delivery
They arrived earlier than expected in a heavy box with no visible damage. This was my first adjustable set, so I spent some time clicking through weight selections and doing light reps. The overall feel is promising, though I had mixed thoughts about the selector precision at first. Still, they handled light use well and feel sturdy.
