6-Inch Extra-Long Needle Nose Pliers — Extra Reach Dykes-Style
Product description
This 6-inch extra-long needle nose plier comes as a single tool with long, tapered jaws designed to access cramped locations. The narrow, fine-point tips are good for bending wire, jewelry making, electronics repair, and gripping tiny parts.
Constructed from carbon steel that has been tempered for strength, the jaws are slim and long to extend your reach. The handles are coated in plastic for a more comfortable hold and to improve slip resistance during use.
A leaf-spring mechanism between the handles returns the tool to the open position, reducing hand strain during repetitive tasks. The working faces are smooth, making them suitable for delicate work where serrations would mar a surface.
Overall dimensions: 6 inches in total length with extended, tapered jaws for fine access. Color option shown is red on the handles.
Pros
- Long, tapered jaws reach tight spots
- Comfortable plastic-dipped handles
- Spring return reduces hand fatigue
Cons
- Pivot edges may need filing
- Smooth tips lack serrations for some grips
- Finish quality can vary between units
VerdictA simple, extendable needle-nose tool offering long, slender jaws and a spring-loaded action that reduces hand fatigue. Built from carbon steel with plastic-dipped grips, it’s suited to delicate crafts, light electrical tasks, and detailed mechanical work. Finish around the pivot can be uneven on some pieces, but the pliers give useful reach and control at a modest outlay.

Good for hobby use
Small pliers that perform well; I use them to pick stones out of my RC cars.

Unexpectedly useful for peaches
Surprised these work for pit removal — they grip cling-peach pits cleanly while I clean fruit. Cling varieties are tastier but the pits are stubborn; these pliers make the task much easier. I filmed a quick demo to show how simple it is.

Watch the unfinished edges
Cut myself on the raw corners near the pivot right out of the package. Filed them smooth; that trimming should have been done at the factory. Otherwise the tool seems average in build and function.

Good reach, narrower tips
I needed extra reach and these extended farther than my other pliers. They couldn't quite clamp one particular item, but their narrow profile makes them useful where I used to use tweezers or hemostats. The spring return is a nice touch.

Beware of burrs
They work well but the joint edges are sharp — I've nicked my fingers. Use a file to remove burrs.

Fine for delicate work
Excellent long-nose pliers for fine work. Smooth jaws (no teeth) are ideal for delicate tasks — exactly what I wanted.
