4-Pack Instrument Rosin for Violin, Viola, Cello & Erhu — Value Set
Product description
Four individual rosin cakes: this set contains four identical discs of light amber rosin, supplied as a value pack for regular practice, lessons and rehearsals. Keep extras in instrument cases, lesson bags or with teachers for quick replacements.
Suitable for several bowed instruments: the rosin is formulated for use with violin, viola, cello and erhu bows. It is intended for everyday playing situations including practice, orchestra rehearsals and student performances.
Low-dust, stable grip: the formula provides steady friction between horsehair and string, helping maintain smooth bow control and a clear, even sound. The lower dust output reduces visible powder on strings and instrument surfaces during routine use.
Student-oriented design: crafted with beginners and school programs in mind, the rosin offers dependable, repeatable results while learning bowing techniques. The cakes are easy to hold and apply for younger players and workshop settings.
Individual boxes and bonus cloth: each cake is packaged in its own small cardboard box to keep it separated and protected prior to use. A mini cleaning cloth is included to wipe residue from strings and the instrument body; cloth color is selected at random.

Overall, a dependable, economical choice for schools, teachers and beg

MSWS 5/5
Good 4-pack for student orchestra use
Solid value—four sizable cakes that work well for building up student accessory sets. The light-amber rosin felt higher quality than other inexpensive options: it didn’t flake during first use and produced minimal dust. The only annoyance was the small cloth backing and a fiddly box lid; if you remove the cake from its box you may want a larger cloth to fully wrap it for storage.

JayNJo 5/5
Reliable light rosin for lessons and rehearsals
A cost-effective light rosin that teachers will appreciate. Each cake is a uniform shape and size for easy application. It didn’t shed much when initially scratched in, so it doesn’t seem brittle. The cloth under the cake is smaller than some premium brands, but the rosin is clear, nearly odorless and gentle for those sensitive to stronger smells.

Kids liked shape and size, took a few uses to build grip
My two kids had mixed feelings: they liked the round shape and the included cloth, but they didn’t like the cardboard box packaging and noted it took several sessions to develop good grip. For a parent, it’s a reasonable value, though I’m unsure about buying again.

Looks like quality light-amber rosin
I’m no rosin expert, but the cakes match the typical signs of good light rosin—clear, deep yellow appearance and a firm texture that worked on a student violin bow without issue.

Struggled to get grip on a violin bow
I liked the quantity and individual wraps, but the rosin itself was hard to activate on a student violin bow. I had to chip away the smooth surface and still found very little tack; it felt like running the bow over glass. Not what I expected for a usable student rosin.

ALH 5/5
Pleasantly soft and easy for learning players
Bought this for a bowed psaltery and preferred it to a denser pro cake. This rosin is softer and deposits more readily into bow hair, yet doesn’t spray a lot of dust. Tone is closer to my darker rosin than I anticipated. Each disc has a soft cloth backing, plus a separate cleaning cloth; no hard carrying case, but each cake is boxed.

Good beginner rosin — solid value
Overall a worthwhile pack for beginners. It applies evenly, doesn’t create heavy chalking, and shipped safely. These are clearly student-grade but perform well for lessons and practice. Note: the cakes don’t come in hard cases, only a cloth backing.
