Product description
Designed to replace worn or missing sash locks on single- and double-hung vinyl windows, this sash lock set restores the ability to securely latch meeting rails and improve window performance. It is intended for windows with flush-mounted meeting rails and a mounting hole spacing of 2-1/16 in. for both the lock and keeper. Each package contains one sash lock, one keeper (receiver), and the mounting fasteners needed for installation.
The main components are diecast zinc for structural strength, finished in a white paint that resists corrosion and blends with common vinyl frames. The mechanism uses a cam-action lever that, when rotated, pulls the sash and keeper together to form a tighter contact between meeting rails. That tighter contact helps reduce airflow at the joint and can improve insulation and comfort.
Installation is designed to be simple: align the new lock and keeper with the existing holes on the meeting rails and secure with the supplied screws using a Phillips head screwdriver. Because this is built to fit particular vinyl systems, it’s not a universal replacement — verify that your current lock spacing and the dimensions of the keeper match the 2-1/16 in. specification and that the keeper width is compatible with your sash material before fitting.
