192kHz DAC Optical-to-RCA & 3.5mm Audio Converter (Coax Included)
Product description
This converter changes coaxial or Toslink (optical) digital PCM audio into analog stereo outputs: left/right RCA jacks and a 3.5mm headphone-style output at the same time. It does not convert analog to digital.
The unit accepts SPDIF bitstreams up to 24-bit and handles sample rates of 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 96kHz and 192kHz, delivering uncompressed 2.1-channel PCM or LPCM on the left and right channels. It will not decode Dolby 5.1 surround formats — only stereo PCM is supported.
Included in the box are: the DAC converter module, a Toslink optical cable, a USB power cable, and a user manual. The USB lead is intended to be powered by a stable 5V 1A supply (use a dedicated wall adapter rather than some TV USB ports for best results).
The housing is aluminum alloy, chosen to reduce electromagnetic interference and improve heat dissipation compared with plain plastic enclosures. That rugged shell helps the converter remain stable next to other electronics and under continuous use.
Setup is plug-and-play: connect the digital source via optical or coax, plug the RCA or 3.5mm outputs to your amplifier or speakers, and power the unit. The device is designed to keep audio in sync with no perceptible delay when used with compatible PCM outputs.
If you encounter silence, static, or strange noises, remember this unit only accepts PCM input formats. Verify the power indicator LED is lit and use a reliable 5V/1A power adapter. Avoid relying on some TV USB ports, as their output can be unstable. Make sure your source is configured to emit PCM, remove any protective caps from optical plugs, confirm all connections are firmly seated, and consider using shielded cables to reduce interference.
Compatible devices include gaming consoles, Blu-ray and HD DVD players, streaming boxes, home cinema systems and AV receivers that can output PCM over optical or coax SPDIF.
Pros
- Simple plug-and-play stereo conversion
- Aluminum shell for better shielding and cooling
- Includes optical and USB power cables
Cons
- Supports stereo PCM only, not Dolby 5.1
- Requires a stable 5V/1A power source
- Optical cable provided can be short or fragile
VerdictA straightforward digital-to-analog adapter that reliably turns optical or coax SPDIF into stereo RCA and 1/8" outputs. It’s built with an aluminum shell for improved shielding and cooling, supports sample rates up to 192kHz and 24-bit streams, and arrives with the cables you need. Works well when the source is set to PCM and the unit receives stable 5V/1A power. Not suitable for decoding multicha

Couldn’t get it to function
Tried different TVs and configs but no audio output for me. I waited hoping it was user error, but still no luck. Moving on to another solution.

Brings classic consoles back to life
Perfect for running my vintage console through modern gear. The kit arrived complete with cables; remember to plug the USB power into a proper adapter. The image/sound chain was stable and latency-free.

Solid product and responsive support
Item arrived well packed with clear documentation and contact details. Tech support helped me find tiny protective caps on the optical cable ends that blocked the signal. Once removed, everything worked perfectly.

Simple, effective audio converter (French)
Used it to link my PS4 S/PDIF output to my stereo. Setup was immediate, though the included optical lead felt thin and short, so I replaced it for my layout. Still recommended overall.

Works in a complex audio chain
I feed long optical runs into this box and then into a mixer to power speakers. So far no lip-sync problems and it’s holding up during events. It suits budget pro-audio setups with care.
