Pleasant nostalgic feel
I bought this to revisit the fountain-pen feel from childhood. The wooden holder is comfortable, and watching the ink touch the paper is oddly calming. It’s been an enjoyable, tactile way to practice letterforms that a regular pen doesn’t replicate.

Good kit to try traditional dip pen calligraphy
A neat starter collection for anyone wanting to experiment with dip-pen lettering. The wooden handle feels simple and reliable, and the Round Hand 3.5 nib demonstrates the thick-and-thin strokes well. Expect a short learning curve if you’re used to modern pens, but it’s a solid way to begin.

Missing nib on arrival
The package arrived without the nib, so I couldn’t use the set and had to send it back. Very disappointing.

Good introductory set but could use guidance
This is a practical kit to test dip-pen calligraphy: a holder, nib and a small jar of ink. If you enjoy it, you can buy more nibs later. I would have liked a concise printed starter guide in the box, as the online instructions mix different pen types and can be confusing. Still, a worthwhile entry-level option.

Nice build but not quite right for me
I hoped a dip pen would solve my refilling hassle with other pens, but it didn’t suit my needs. The finish and feel are pleasant, though some components in other entry kits offer more nib variety and different handle materials. The tiny ink bottle is useful but won’t last long for frequent practice.

Customer Review 4/5
Works for left- and right-handers, comfy grip
As a left-hander I was happy it was comfortable to use both ways. Instructions were tucked in the box and there’s a QR for extra help. The nib holds only a little ink at once and can feel scratchy until you get used to it, and it needs cleaning after use. Overall comfortable to hold but the ink supply is modest.

Simple and effective starter set
I wanted a straightforward dip-pen to avoid the fuss of cleaning whole fountain pens between inks. This set gives a varnished wooden holder, one nib and a small ink bottle—everything to start. The nib has moderate italic characteristics and holds enough ink for short stretches of writing. It’s not a flexible nib, so it rewards a steady hand and smooth paper.
